Am I nervous going to university?? What am I going to study? Am I prepared? These are the question I get almost daily from family and friends..its becoming really boring and kinda annoying..lol..at first I didn’t know if I was really prepared..I mean I would see how my cousin (who is going to college nxt yr lyk me) is prepared and feel depressed. I went to her room once and found the place filled with bags, bags and more bags. Later, I found out that they were all handbags, wallets, shoes, sunglasses, etc for university. (Preparing for university here is different than in other countries, especially for girls, we have to get lots of nice bags and expensive stuff coz some girls judge us based on appearance..it sucks I know >.>)

At first I didn’t care about these sorts of things but my dad kept nagging me to get new stuff and my cousin wouldn’t let go too. So I went out with her and got some stuff. Every time I picked something cute she would scold me -_- saying that I’m going to university not middle school..lol..our tastes are almost entirely different so everything I wanted to get, she’d argue with me..loool..anyways at the end we agreed on some bags and all the wallets I got..a few days before, my dad had already got me some bags so didn’t get many with her.

Anyways, Mrs Mustang unni (don’t think she wants me to reveal her name)..I took some pics of the stuff I got..tell me what you think..I think all of the stuff I got didn’t go beyond 2000 DHS coz most of the stuff were on sale..if they weren’t I think it would be about 5000 DHS or more..who knows?? Lol anyways..the pics aren’t clear but when you come over or something you can take a good look..here are the pics:

Unni..these are the wallets i told u abt..

This is me studying Korean. I am self-studying Korean from a book my sister got me..its pretty hard but I’m handling it..at times I get kinda depressed coz I feel like I’m not progressing but when I watch Korean clips (shows or dramas..etc) I realise that I actually understand some words..it needs some will power since it’s the summer holidays and I’m the only one studying -_-;; lol..but I don’t mind its actually fun. When university starts I’ll be taking a Japanese language course with Mrs Mustang unni (PS. Mrs Mustang is my best friend)..hopefully..cant wait..but unni knows waaaay more than I do in Japanese so I might slow her down or get her to tutor me..lol..

Sometimes, when translating and solving the exercises I face some problems, like when making up a dialogue, my answer is kinda different than the one given in the book..and I’m not sure if mine is acceptable..I need someone to ask..here are some of the sentences that I’m not sure of:

1.       Kim Dukhoon is looking for the Chinese teacher in the Chinese department, but finds himself talking to the wrong person in the wrong department (English dept.) Dukhoon approaches the teacher and says:

실례지만 여기가 중국 학과 사무실이에요? 중국말 선생님 만나러 와써요.

How might the teacher respond?

My answer was: “ 아니요. 중국 학과 아니에요, 영국 (I don’t know if this is the right word for English..is it??) 학과에요. 중국 학과는 (I always get confused with which particle to use..is it 는 or가?) 저기 있어요.”

The answer in the book: “여기는 중국 학과 사무실이아니에요. 중국말 선생님 없어요.” Obviously their answer is better and easier (I always make things complicated..*sighs*)..but I wanna no if my answer is ok or not..

2.       Also there was a question where I had to make up a dialogue where 2 friends met and one of them had his son with them and introduces the son to the other..here is part of my dialogue:

이 선생: 네. 잘 지넸어요. 가족 어때요?

황 선생: 좋아요. 사실 우리 아들이에요. Is this line fine? Can I say that?

3.       Also how do you spell apple in Korean? Is it 삭와 or 사과?
